Went out for dinner tonight; Chianti's. Mm-mm good :) Met some new people, re-met some sorta new people, good time was had. 'tis all for now. Oh, and teddy0bear, when shall we meet again? I may be ditching you to see an old friend on Friday.

I'm sort of pooped. Last night, I went out with a bunch of friends, and I didn't get home until 1am, which, for those who know me, is like, crazy ridiculously late.

ETA: Oh, and I introduced the term ho yay to a bunch of asian folks last night, for the win.

I was at teddy0bear's for most of today, and we spent a lot of time watching Fringe. ( Where I blather. Uh, Michanna, you may have just read this in an email also; I copied and pasted. No spoilers. )

In other news, I got teddy0bear a microwave. I didn't know there were so many different kinds of microwaves. Or so many different sizes. At least the color scheme was simple: black, or white.

My life is sorta uninteresting. Oh well.

Went and saw Sherlock Holmes last night with a bunch of folks. Overall, I enjoyed it muchly. I am now re-reading my Sherlock Holmes as a result; read Study in Scarlet last night instead of going to bed at a reasonable hour, and am mid-way through The Sign of Four now.

( Wherein I nitpick the movie to pieces aka spoilers. But really, I enjoyed it, I did! )

Overall, decent movie. Had some tense moments (let me just say, I do not do scary very well. And by very well, I pretty much mean at all) that made me cringe, but the one-liners made up for it. Also, Gladstone is adorable.

This morning, I left the house at 7:30am, and got home at quarter to six. Given that, I think I exercised a lot of self-control shopping today. My total haul:

SGA, S4 + S5 = $27.28
Jones New York Bracelet = $6.83
Lip Balm + 4 Storage Bins = $9.70

for a total of $43.81 for +10hours of shopping. *glee*

Boxing Day is my third favourite day of the year!

So, on Saturday night, we went and watched The Princess and the Frog. I thought it was very "gunawwwwwwwwwh" and cute. None of the songs were catchy enough to be stuck in my head, but it was a princess!movie, so, y'know, I was happy.

And on Sunday, cayrien cancelled on me. I might see her later this week.

And today, there was home baking! School bake sale, and then one of my tutoring students brought me home-made Christmas cookies, om nom nom.

Ah, winter. The season where we all feel the need to store body fat.

Also, it is STUPIDLY cold out today. On the other hand, in less than 48 hours, the temperature will rise by 30C (that's ~86F for those Americans), so I guess I can't complain. Well. Yes, I can, because, with windchill, we hit below -40C today, and that's freaking cold. Welcome to Calgary, where "talking about the weather" are actually conversations based on the actual freakishness of the weather.

I'm watching a guy shovel his walk with a hoe, because the snow is so packed down and solid. Oh, weather.

I finally gave in and put a mitten on. Why is only the one hand cold? Who knows -_-

Also, it's snowing. Why is it snowing? I thought we'd have at least a few hot days left, like last year (and the year before, when we had crazy long indian summers), but no. Denied. Pfft.

Flist! If you have not yet had the opportunity to do so, you need to go and watch Dil Bole Hadippa! This movie is made of awesomesauce, as myself, cayrien, cthylla and simsabalim can attest to. Seriously, I need to own this movie, because if I'm ever feeling angry, or depressed, or really, anything either than really really happy, this movie will totally cheer me up!

Go See It! For those in Calgary, it's currently playing at the Moviedome :)

ETA: Does anyone know how to play cricket? Because I figured out the runs, and I figured out what a wicket is, but I still don't understand overs.

Alright, so it's Sunday morning, and I thought I'd do a con report thus far...

Alright! Girl is packed and ready to go to Vancouver! Even though I still apparently have the plague (yes, yes, the plague monkeys got me. I am gotten), I am super excited, and really looking forward to this; see y'all on the flip side!

Ugh. I don't feel very good. I want to go to sleep, but I know that if I do, I'll be up again at ass-o'clock in the morning, and then I'll be freaking exhausted tomorrow. WHY NOW?

I am sick.

And that was my day.

On Wednesday, went to see The Lion King with cthylla and toastninja. I dressed up, so toastninja did too, and we were pretty together :) The show itself was pretty damn good. I loved Rafiki (even through the spontaneous sex change), and I liked the guy they got to play Simba. I didn't like Nala as much, because she was more alto, and since the guy was an alto too, I thought she should have been a soprano. That's okay though, I still enjoyed it muchly!

And then yesterday, was at cthylla's with otsquee, and we watched Leverage, which was cute and awesome (as always)!

Wow. So, I had a spectacularly sucky day. Or rather, a spectacularly sucky mid-afternoon. Day went pretty well; gearing down for year end, so it's pretty breezy. I did, however, manage to have an hour long rant-and-panic-attack about how next year's set-up is going to look. Geez. I hope... I don't even know. I'm not going to think about it any more.

ETA: Uh, in case the ranty post wasn't clear, I'm not really okay right now, and could use some sympathy.

So, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, teddy0bear and I went to Ignite09! Basically, it's a Neworks One-Act Play Festival, so between the three nights, we saw 8 productions. I won't go into too much detail here, other than to say that they were, for the most part, completely awesome, and that I'm totally planning to go again next year :)
