So... there be this nifty banner, saved onto my computer. How do I put it in my profile? Stop looking at me like that, I already admitted that I'm technologically incompetent.

Did I mention? So, we had computers first thing this morning, and I have 24 kids. So, I essentially need every single computer in the room, but there was this one computer that I couldn't turn on however I pressed the button, and I eventually gave up and got the kid to pair up. And then, our tech support wandered by, so I roped her into helping me out. The problem? The computer wasn't plugged in. *headdesk* Yes, I really am that incompetent some days.

The first question you should ask yourself "is it plugged in?" and then go from there. That question has qualified me to do tech support in my office from the reactions of the ladies I work with.

Good luck with the banner. I usually get the Ninja to do my layouts for me.

If the image is already hosted on the internet (like on photobucket or something) you can use this handy HTML in your bio. If not, upload it some place so you can use this. To get it on your profile page you need to stick this HTML in with the bio you have. You can stick it above the bio you've already written, below the bio you've written, or wherever you want.

Use the pointy (<>) brackets instead of the square ones in the example when using it in your bio code.

Once you do that it should look something like this.
Taadaaa~!

Well, I recommend www.photobucket.com for hosting your image(s). It's really quite easy to use. Or if you don't want to have to make an account you can email me the image and I can put it on my photobucket for you and send you the link to it.

I think LJ has a gallery feature that will let you host images through LJ. I'm not sure if it's a plus/paid account feature only.
